Information & Referral Specialist
Collaborative Courts FSP – Fountain Valley. F/T, Mon. - Fri. (8hrs) or Mon. - Thurs. (10 hrs.)
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide clients and staff with information and referral assistance including but not limited to basic needs, specialized housing placements, mental health/behavioral and medical services, transportation, and social and independent living skill building.
- Present information regarding how to access resources and co-facilitates enrichment activities.
- Provide direct linkage support as needed; builds, maintains and promotes a resource database through attending community events and delivering information to staff.
- Represent the program at community events and county agencies.
- Provide coordination of care with service providers.
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Communications or related field.
- Knowledge of the skills of Information and Referral including, but not limited to clear and effective communication with the inquirer, customer service skills, utilizes various systems to locate resources.
- Assist the inquirer in accessing and utilizing the resource, and demonstrates the ability to work with a diverse multicultural/ethnic population with sensitivity and respect.
- Must have computer skills and software aptitude; excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills; and ability to multi-task.
- Valid California driver’s license, liability insurance meeting minimum state requirements, and a reliable automobile.
Starting pay range: $25.75 - $27.04 per hour
