Associate Clinician (CCS/Tustin 2)
CCS – Tustin. F/T, Tuesday - Saturday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Must be available for 24/7 On-Call.
Responsibilities Include:
- Exercising independent judgment and decision-making skills, provides resource linkage, individual, family and group therapy services to SED (severely emotionally disturbed) adolescents and their families in a residential Shelter program.
- Services include clinical assessments, short-term counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and referrals.
- Establishes a positive working relationship with OC HCA CYBH, CYBH contractors and other outside agencies, police, probation, and schools Provides individual, family and group therapeutic counseling services to SED adolescents and their families.
- Services include clinical assessment, short-term counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and referrals to other agencies or Waymakers programs when appropriate.
- Maintains Community and Medi-Cal compliant charts including but not limited to DSH, document and billing expectations, error free documents that include correct dates of service, client information, signatures, correct CPT and diagnosis codes, correct boxes marked, and submitting all documents within 24-48 hours of providing services.
- De-escalates clients and assesses for hospitalization as needed, staying with client until evaluation can be completed ensuring resident’s and staff member’s safety.
- Obtains and maintains LPS designation within required deadlines in order to write 5585 holds for client requiring hospitalization due to threat of harm to self, harm to others or meeting criteria as gravely disabled.
- Attends weekly staff meeting, weekly case staffing and clinical supervision presenting client cases using the summary format to educate attendees on client demographics, family dynamics, diagnosis, behaviors, history, medications, and treatment plans.
Requirements Include:
- Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field.
- Knowledge of theory and experience with techniques of individual, family, and group dynamics, behavioral interventions, substance abuse, crisis intervention, trauma-focused and cognitive behavioral approaches.
- Possession of a current intern, associate or license number with the BBS.
- Must become LPS designated to write 5150 holds within 90 days of employment.
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- First Aid and CPR certifications, health screen, and negative TB test result.
- LivsScan fingerprinting and criminal records clearance and compliance with Community Care Licensing Title 22 Group Home regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet clients’ needs and organizational deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to effectively manage crisis situations.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Pay range: $6,233.00 - $6,530.00 per month
