RESTITUTION VICTIM ADVOCATE
Victim Assistance Program – Santa Ana.F/T, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Responsibilities Include:
- Works in Superior Court Victim/Witness Center to determine and distribute court ordered restitution payments for crime victims from their offenders.
- Assist victims of crime as required to mitigate the impact of victimization and collection of restitution, as well as providing ongoing education and support around restitution.
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s Degree required and two years of related experience working with people in a human services setting or customer service setting.
- Knowledge of restitution and working in a victim witness office preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel to other court centers to provide support and coverage.
- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural/ethnic diversity of the service population and to be sensitive to the needs of special populations.
- Valid California driver’s license, auto liability insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Starting pay range: $21.38 - 22.45 hourly
