Case Manager/Mental Health Specialist
Huntington Beach Youth Shelter. F/T, Monday - Friday (Available to work evenings, weekends, and graveyard shifts as needed.)
Responsibilities Include:
- Work with youth shelter residents ages 11-17, by identifying, assessing, and developing a written individualized service/treatment plan based on the needs of each youth entering the Basic Center Program Shelter.
- Conducts community outreach as needed and serves as a liaison between the Shelter and community agencies including OCDE, local schools, law enforcement, and public and private agencies.
- Coordinate appropriate connections between referral sources and clients. Provide continuous and supportive aftercare services. Maintains up-to-date, clear, concise, and complete client files.
- Completes accurate statistics and other client-related and program-related documentation.
- Assume responsibility for daily operations of the adolescent youth shelter program.
- Organize and implement group activities by working in conjunction with other youth specialists.
- Supervise adolescents and provide crisis intervention.
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, human services or related field.
- 2 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of available resources and advocacy to meet the needs of clients.
- Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and graveyard shifts as needed.
- Valid driver's license, auto liability insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
Starting pay range: $25.75 - $29.18 hourly
