SUPERVISOR – Harbor Justice Center



Victim Assistance Program - Newport Beach. F/T, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5 p.m.



Responsibilities Include:




  • Day-to-day operation of the program center.


  • Supervise staff and volunteers.


  • Provide services to crime victims and witnesses.


  • Respond to victims of crime and their families to mitigate the impact of the victimization and/or case investigation and court appearance.



Requirements Include:




  • Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral science, criminal justice, or related field and a thorough knowledge of the criminal justice system and victimology.


  • 1-3 years’ experience in a position involving the provision of victim services, peer counseling, equivalent social skills, and program administration.


  • Excellent supervisory, interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.


  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural/ethnic diversity of the service population and to be sensitive to the needs of special populations.


  • Valid California driver’s license, liability insurance meeting minimum state requirements, and a reliable automobile.


  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
