Diversion Case Manager - Bilingual

Location: Santa Ana, California, United States


Juvenile Diversion – Arrive – Santa Ana/Orange County, F/T, Monday - Friday, 9 am - 6 pm.

(Occasional evenings or weekend events as needed based on consumer needs.)

Responsibilities Include:

  • Using a strength-based approach in the Recovery Model and a wraparound philosophy, the Diversion Case Manager provides community-based case management services to youth involved with Probation.

  • Lead the implementation of a Case Plan covering the entire range of needs for the youth and family to reduce recidivism and promote success, safety, and permanence in the home, school, workforce and community.

  • Assist youth in acquiring healthy social skills, positive decision-making skills, school completion, career readiness, independent living skills and conflict resolution skills to reduce recidivism using evidenced-based treatment such as Trauma–Informed Care, Seeking Safety and Motivational Interviewing approaches.

  • Coordinate services amongst all members of the team using a “what-ever-it-takes” approach and provides written progress reports.

Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or one of the social behavioral sciences and background with adolescents or the juvenile justice system.

  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural/ethnic diversity of the service population and be sensitive to the needs of special populations.

  • Ability to establish rapport, make accurate assessment of the family’s needs, and assist the family in accessing and utilizing resources. Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • After hours availability based on client needs.

  • Valid California driver’s license, liability insurance meeting minimum state requirements, and a reliable automobile.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
