Event Specialist (Part-Time)

Location: Santa Ana, CA


Santa Ana. P/T - 20 hours per week. Monday – Friday. Work Schedule - TBD. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work with the Executive Assistant and members of the Fund Development Committee to assure the success of agency fundraising events.

  • Assist with planning and implementation of fundraising events.

  • Participate in pre-event planning, logistics tasks, solicitation of sponsorships and in-kind donations, meeting with vendors at the venue, event set up and clean up, and working with staff to ensure the completion of a successful event.

Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality management or public relations preferred.

  • Minimum of one year of experience in sales and/or event planning.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, stress and workload management, and excellent verbal/written/interpersonal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated skills necessary to solicit sponsorships and in-kind donations.

  • Ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and database programs.

  • Valid California driver’s license, auto liability insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
