Responsibilities include:
- Research, develop, and conduct presentations and trainings on sexual assault prevention and various related topics.
- Provide on-going education and workshops throughout the community both in person and via virtual platforms with a focus on local high-schools, college and university schools or other audiences upon request.
- Participate in outreach and community organizing preparing and distributing current handouts, social media content, and presentation materials for the prevention education program.
- Work in conjunction with the prevention team to support Sexual Assault Victim Services Programming.
- Assist with special projects.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral science, public health, criminal justice, or related field.
- Advanced knowledge of sexual assault prevention.
- Basic knowledge of the criminal justice system, and victimology.
- 1-3 years of related experience in a position involving the provision of victim services, public presentations, equivalent social skills, and/or program administration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural/ethnic diversity of the service population and to be sensitive to the needs of special populations.
- Valid California driver’s license, liability insurance meeting minimum state requirements, and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability and agility to lift 20-30 pounds to transport training materials and equipment to training locations.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
