Mental Health Worker- Bilingual, P-T (Families First)

Location: Santa Ana, CA, United States


– P/T. (Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm, Saturday hours if desired).

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan, organize, and facilitate large and small child and adolescent skill building groups on such topics as social skills, coping skills, independent living skills, and career skills.

  • Provide individual and family behavioral interventions within program site, school or home to assist youth with learning and practicing new skills.

  • Collaborate with clients’ therapists regarding treatment plans and observed behaviors.

  • Complete progress notes and documentation and maintains client charts within Medi-Cal standards.

  • Provide transportation for clients.

  • Position is Part-Time, 20 hours per week.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, child development, human services or related discipline required.

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with children and/or adolescents.

  • Ability to establish rapport, make accurate assessment of the family’s needs, assist the family in accessing and utilizing the resource, good written and communication skills and demonstrates the ability to work with a diverse multicultural/ethnic population with sensitivity and respect.

  • Must be 21 years of age.

  • Requires excellent communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Valid California driver’s license, auto liability insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
