Training Coordinator

TRAINING COORDINATOR (Victim Assistance Programs: Traning – Santa Ana)

– F/T. (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm).

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate statewide trainings for School Resource Officers (SRO's) and other youth-serving professionals

  • Work in conjunction with collaborative partners and statewide subject matter experts in order to ensure that development and implementation of training is accomplished in a timely manner

  • Organize training projects, with an emphasis on coordinating with the training team, working with a curriculum developer, and maintaining training curriculum.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in human services, criminal justice, program administration or related field

  • Basic knowledge of the criminal justice system, victimology, and/or child abuse

  • Basic knowledge of adult learning theory, curriculum development and/or instructional design

  • Experience providing coordination for trainings, community events, educational workshops, and/or administrative functions. Training facilitation experience is preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and transport training materials/equipment to training locations

  • Must be available for statewide travel up to 25% of the year

  • Valid California driver's license, liability insurance meeting minimum state requirements, and a satisfactory driving record.
