Chief Operating Officer (Corporate Administration)

– F/T. (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm).

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve on the agency Executive Committee and management team

  • Work cooperatively with other Waymakers, using a combination of required experience, ingenuity, and a dedication to teamwork, to lead agency initiatives

  • Oversee general operations and administrative functions of the organization, including human resources, risk management, IT, facilities management, and support of fund development planning and execution

  • Directly supervise the HR Manager, Business Manager, and Fund Development Specialist

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in organizational leadership, human resources, business, or related field

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of operational experience in a leadership position with a non-profit organization

  • Knowledge of business operations, human resources, fund development and marketing, with specific training and experience in the area of human resources

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Email software programs and standard office procedures

  • Excellent organization, prioritization, detail orientation, analytical, multi-tasking, stress-and-workload management, and verbal/written/interpersonal communication skills

  • Effective public speaking and presentation abilities

  • Ability to work with a diverse multicultural/ethnic population with sensitivity and respect

  • Valid California driver’s license, auto liability insurance, and a satisfactory driving record
