Supervisor (OC Law Enforcement Agency- TBD)

Location: Orange County, CA

Schedule:Variable Schedule - Some Weekend and Overnight, Ride-Along Shifts Required

Supervisor responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Law Enforcement Victim Services Unit

  • Hire, train, and supervise staff and volunteers

  • Provide services to victims of crime and their families, conduct case investigations and make court appearances

  • Respond to vulnerable populations to mitigate the impact of victimization

  • Oversee case file maintenance and compilation, and submission of statistical reports

  • Facilitate program outreach

Supervisor requirements include:

Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral science, criminal justice, or related field

Thorough knowledge of the criminal justice system and victimology

1-3 years of experience in a position involving the provision of victim services, peer counseling, equivalent social skills, and program administration

Excellent supervisory skills, interpersonal and organizational skills, and written and verbal communication skills

Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural/ethnic diversity of the service population and to be sensitive to the needs of special populations

Valid California driver’s license, auto liability insurance, and a satisfactory driving record
