Health Educator (Santa Ana)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Health Educator responsibilities include:

  • Develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate an impaired driving prevention program, and ensure all program objectives are met

  • Plan and coordinate responsible beverage service trainings for alcohol-serving establishments

  • Support law enforcement impaired driving prevention operations, promote ridesharing, and facilitate youth led activities

  • Serve as a community resource and support collaborative partners by planning and developing educational and promotional materials such as presentations, handouts, flyers, etc

  • Participate in and facilitate community meetings and events such as task forces, coalitions, and health fairs

Health Educator requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in health science, community health, or public health

  • 1-2 years’ experience in the public health field preferred

  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural and ethnic diversity of the service populations and to be sensitive to the needs of special populations

  • Valid California driver’s license, auto liability insurance, and a satisfactory driving record

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
