Quality Assurance/Youth Specialist (Huntington Beach Youth Shelter)

Location: Santa Ana, CA, USA

Schedule: Flexible schedule, 32 hours a week, 4 days a week. Must be available for overnight, weekend, and various shifts

Quality Assurance/Youth Specialist responsibilities include:

  • Provide data entry for clients into IRIS, prepare invoices for third party payers for billable charges, and reconcile IRS charges for client charts

  • Track and report on the outcome measures for the program

  • Provide administrative support to the Program Director

  • Work with at-risk youth at 24/7 Youth Shelter, in short-term crisis intervention program for children ages 11-17

  • Provide supervision to youth as needed

  • Maintain facility, complete service documentation, and answer crisis calls

Quality Assurance/Youth Specialist requirements include:

  • Bachelors Degree in behavioral science, criminal justice, or related field

  • Minimum age 21

  • One year of office experience including computer data input into Excel and Word

  • MediCal and Orange County Health Care Agency/Department of Mental Health billing experience preferred

  • Must be available for overnight, weekend, and various shifts

  • Team player, extremely well organized, excellent boundaries, and ability to handle crisis situations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Approved TB Test/Health Screen, CPR and First Aid certificate (may be completed after employment)

  • Valid California driver’s license, liability insurances, and a satisfactory driving record
