Community Engagement Coordinator (PATH)

Location: Santa Ana, CA

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, some nights and weekends

Community Engagement Coordinator responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate community engagement in tobacco control efforts

  • Work with statewide partners to participate in coordination and training in Orange and San Diego Counties

  • Organize and educate constituent groups about tobacco and the health risks of exposure to second-hand smoke in Asian and Pacific Islander communities

  • Collect data, including opinion surveys, and support youth groups to advocate for smoke-free multi-unit housing policies

  • Support multi-unit housing entities to become smoke-free and adopt smoking cessation referral systems

Community Engagement Coordinator requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in health science, community health, or public health

  • Master’s Degree is preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in the public health field is required

  • Experience coordinating meetings, conducting presentations, and demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate with youth and adults

  • Valid California driver’s license, auto liability insurance, and a satisfactory driving record

  • Bilingual English/Vietnamese preferred
