Tobacco Program Coordinator

Location: Santa Ana, CA, United States

Schedule: FT, Monday-Friday, 8am-5:00pm

Program Coordinator responsibilities include:

  • Work in collaboration with the Program Director to oversee the coordination, facilitation and direction concerning an initiative to promote smoke-free strategies within community college districts in Orange County

  • Plan and facilitate project activities, including coalition building, education, training, strategic planning, implementation, evaluation, and monitoring the progress of the project

  • Coordinate with key community partners, and serve as a project-specific public health resource

  • Manage data collection and regular reporting

Program Coordinator requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science or related field

  • Master’s Degree in Public Health or related field preferred

  • Knowledge of health promotion theories and prevention strategies

  • 2 years of related experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating a public health initiative

  • 2 years of related experience in collaborating with community partners

  • Ability to communicate effectively with collaborative partners, and utilize strong project management skills

  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural/ethnic diversity of the service population and to be sensitive to the needs of special populations

  • Valid California driver’s license, liability insurance meeting minimum state requirements, and a satisfactory driving record
