Grant & Project Specialist

Location: Santa Ana, CA, United States

Schedule: FT, Monday-Friday, 8am-5:00pm

Grant & Project Specialist responsibilities include:

  • Project coordination and grants administration of Victim Assistance Programs (VAP)

  • Administrative support for human trafficking program and VAP grant applications

  • Facilitate submission of progress reports, assist with organization and implementation of the annual Victims’ Rights Conference

  • Lead special projects as assigned

Grant & Project Specialist requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Basic understanding of the criminal justice system and victimology

  • Related experience and supervisory or project coordinator experience is preferred

  • Administrative and technical skills: knowledge of standard business practices, office procedures, Microsoft Office Suite, and an ability to conduct basic research

  • Familiarity with grant application process preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and use good judgement in contact with staff, all levels of the justice system, funding agencies, and the community

  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural/ethnic diversity of the service population and to be sensitive to the needs of special populations

  • Valid California driver’s license, liability insurance meeting minimum state requirements, and a satisfactory driving record
